Louise grew up on a farm in Southern Illinois, moving to Chicago in her early 20s. After some time in the city, she settled in the northwestern suburbs. After working several years as a treasury accountant, she started a small cleaning business that would allow her to work part-time and pursue volunteering, horse ownership and learning Mandarin Chinese. After a few years of learning Chinese, she decided to move to Taiwan to immerse herself in the language. There she taught English as a Second Language (ESL). After about 4 years, she and her Taiwanese roommate, Amanda, decided to come back to Chicago and start Amanda’s Cleaning Enterprise.
