Amanda was born in Taiwan and has operated a successful furniture and interior design business there for many years. About 4 years ago, she opened her home to a roommate named Louise, from Chicago. Amanda spoke little English. Louise struggled with Chinese and was in Taiwan to immerse herself. Over the four years, they both improved their language skills and became fast friends. After visiting Chicago in 2013 with Louise, an idea started brewing. She and Louise decided to come back to Chicago and start Amanda’s Cleaning Enterprise, which offers Amanda’s all-natural cleaning solution, Citrus Clean.
